1.         Opening and welcome
The Chairperson opened the meeting. He welcomed the members and everyone else in attendance.

2.         Presentation by the Department of Communications
Mr Phiri presented the responses of the Department on the submissions received on ECA and ICASA Amendment Bills 2013.

2.1.       Deliberations
The Committee welcomed the presentation by the Department and commended it for a well crafted presentation.

3.         Closing remarks
Ms Tsebe thanked ICASA for hosting the Committee and for their hospitality. She thanked all the stakeholders for their contributions and explained that the submissions will assist the Committee when deliberating on the Bills. She assured all stakeholders that the Committee takes them very serious and should continue engaging the Committee on any matters.

A full report on the public hearings will be presented to the Committee by the secretariat.
