Election of Acting Chairperson
Mr Anele Kabingesi, Committee Secretary, welcomed members and submitted apologies on behalf of the Chairperson who was unable to attend. He asked that members elect an Acting Chairperson for the meeting.
The members elected Mr C Kekana(ANC) as the Acting Chairperson for the meeting.
National Qualifications Framework Amendment Bill: Committee Report adoption
The Acting Chairperson said that an adoption of the amendment bill would be proposed.
The clause by clause adoption had happened the previous day and the report was a result of this. After the adoption of the report the necessary parliamentary processes would follow. He asked for the adoption of the report.
Ms J Kilian (ANC) said it is a good report and she proposed the report be adopted.
Ms S Mchunu (ANC) seconded the proposal.
Dr B Bozzolli said that on page 2 line 6 it stated that “the committee received an introduction briefing” instead of “…introductory briefing” and “In addition to invitation” instead of “In addition to the invitation” in the paragraph below. She said it was just these two small changes.
The Acting Chairperson asked if there were any objections. There was no objection therefore the report was unanimously adopted.
The meeting was adjourned.
