Committee Report on Fuel Price Increases; Committee Term 2 Programme

Meeting report

The Chairperson indicated that the Committee was meeting to consider and adopt its report on fuel increases, its programme for the second term, as well as outstanding meeting minutes.

Report of the Portfolio Committee on Mineral Resources and Energy on the Fuel Price Increases The Committee Secretary took the Committee through the Committee Report on the fuel increases.

The Committee had considered the report in its previous meeting and the purpose of the meeting today was to adopt the amended report.

The Chairperson asked for a mover of the adoption of the report.

Mr M Wolmarans (ANC) moved for the adoption of the report.

Ms V Malinga (ANC) seconded the mover for the adoption of the report.

Committee Programme for the Second Term

The Chairperson recommended the Department brief the Committee on the Upstream Petroleum Resources Development Bill in the second week of May.

He asked for a mover for the adoption of the Committee Programme.

Ms Malinga moved for the adoption of the Committee Programme, with the amendments.

Mr Wolmarans seconded the adoption of the Committee Programme, with the amendments.
