Meeting report

The Chairperson welcomed everyone and confirmed that the meeting had met its quorum. He said that the report had been discussed in detail the previous day and the purpose for this meeting was to vote on the report and ensure that everyone understands the Bill.

Report of the Select Committee on Finance on Financial Matters Amendment Bill [B20b–2022] (National Assembly Section 75)

The Chairperson scrolled through the draft report page by page, and asked Committee Members to vote to move for the Bill.

Ms Z Ncitha (ANC, Eastern Cape) voted in favour of the report.

Ms D Mahlangu (ANC, Mpumalanga) voted in favour of the report.

Mr S Du Toit (FF+, North West) said that the FF+ reserves its position on the report.

Mr M Moletsane (EFF, Free State) said that the EFF reserves its position on the report.

Mr D Ryder (DA, Gauteng) said the DA reserves its position on the report.

The Chairperson scrolled through the final report and asked Members to vote to move for the final report.

Ms D Mahlangu (ANC, Mpumalanga) voted in favour of the report.

Ms L Moss (ANC, Western Cape) voted in favour of the report.

The EFF, FF+ and DA reserved their positions on the Bill.  

The Chairperson thanked the Committee Members for their participation and attendance.
