Consideration of Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendment Act Amendment Bill

The Chairperson stated that the only item on the agenda was whether to adopt Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendment Act Amendment Bill [B 18 B-2014 (s75)].

The Chairperson then read the Report of the Select Committee on the bill. (See document.) The text of the report is as follows:

“The Select Committee on Security and Justice, having considered the subject of the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendment Act Amendment Bill [B 18 B-2014 (s75)], referred to it, reports that it has agreed to the Bill without proposed amendments.”

The Chairperson declared that the report was, therefore, to be considered. The Chairperson asked the Committee if it could adopt the report.

Mr Thobejane (ANC, Limpopo) moved that the report be adopted.

Mr Xhlanga (ANC) seconded the motion.

The Chairperson declared that the report was adopted. He thanked members.

The meeting was adjourned.
