MINUTES

The Chairperson gave a brief report about the Parliamentary Network of the World Bank Conference that was held in Helsinki, Finland from 21 to 23 October. He indicated that the objectives of the conference were to identify what Parliamentarians could do to promote action on pressing development issues and to help strengthen the accountability and transparency of international financial institutions. The Committee proceeded to consider other reports. The Committee's Annual Report was adopted without any amendments.

The Chairperson asked for comments or questions on the Committee’s Reports on the Annual Reports of the Department of Public Enterprises, Transnet, Eskom, Alexkor and an Interim Report from Denel.
