The Chairperson informed Members that the purpose of the second day of the shortlisting process was to shortlist 20 applicants from the 67 that have applied for vacancies Commissioners of the Commission for Gender Equality (CGE). Once the shortlisting process was finalised, the 20 shortlisted names would given to the State Security Agency for screening and human resources division of Parliament for verifying their qualifications within a period of two weeks. She said young people would be considered and not penalised for not having experience because they had what it takes to be Commissioners. What was considered important was their record of activism.
