About Albert Theo Fritz

Albert Fritz was born in Woodstock, Cape Town in 1959. He attended the Oaklands High School, but was expelled in 1976 due to his involvement in anti-apartheid riots. Mr Fritz holds a BA Honours degree in Social Sciences and an LLB degree from the University of the Western Cape. In March 2022, Western Cape Premier Alan Winde announced his decision to remove Albert Fritz from the provincial cabinet effective immediately following several allegations of sexual misconduct that were brought against Fritz, former MEC of community safety in the Western Cape.
