Dr Karl Le Roux holds a Medicine Degree from UCT. He holds postgraduate diplomas in Anaesthetics and Obstetrics and a Masters in International Health from Uppsala University in Sweden. He has, since November 2006, worked at Zithulele Hospital, a rural facility in the former homeland of the Transkei, now in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. He is passionate about maternal and child health, breastfeeding, HIV/ARV care and rural medicine.
