Mr Robert Alfred Lees went to school in KwaZulu Natal (KZN) and matriculated in 1969. He obtained a certificate in electronics from the Natal Technicon and then went on to read for a BCom degree at the University of Natal (Now KZN) in 1998. He worked for Dunlop Tyres as a trainee manager and then Management Accountant. Mr Lees then moved to Consol as General Manager of the Bags & Sacks Division. In 1990 he established an accounting practise in Ladysmith, KZN. Over some 36 years he has worked in the Emnambithi/Ladysmith area amongst all communities - this area forms his constituency for the DA. Mr Lees is heavily involved with commercial farming and land reform. His first five years in Parliament were as a permanent delegate in the NCOP and as a Member of the Select Committees of Finance and Appropriations. Read more here.
