About Weziwe Tikana-Gxothiwe

Ms Tikana-Gxothiwe was sworn in as the MEC for Roads, Transport and Safety in May 2019. She currently serves on the ANC’s Provincial Executive Committee and the Women’s League. She obtained the following qualifications: Primary Teachers’ Diploma from Belgravia Institute; Diploma in Local Government Management from the University of Pretoria; Diploma in Labour Law from Global Business Solutions. She has previously worked as a Senior Administration Officer at Emalahleni Local Municipality and Director: Municipal Public Participation at the Department of Local Government and Traditional Affairs.
