Dear Portfolio Committee on Higher Education and Training,I need your intervention at UJ Doornfontein.I applied as a Post Grad last year and got an acceptance letter that also stated the registration fee and the dates of registration.Upon me following suite and having paid I got a response that they no longer have space for me.I went to the University of Johannesburg to enquire and the response was that,it is a 1st come 1st serve of which it was never stipulated on the acceptance letter and I was within the time frame of registaration.The Health faculty said I should wait and see if there is a student who will withdraw in order for me to study,but I cannot be waiting for something I do not know if it will happen and time is money.I really feel that the higher education does not respect our time as I was told to go to the finance dept and ask for refund for my money.Education is the key to success and yet we are taken for granted.I refused to get my money back and I am hoping you will intervene on this situation.
