Subject
Victimisation of Female Managers at the NFVF
Date
12 August 2019 12:21 p.m.
Dear Portfolio Committee on Sports, Arts and Culture,

1.It has become common practice that competent senior managers are being victimised and harassed at the NFVF (common among those harassed: they are all women).
2. No action taken when staff members threaten their female colleagues. Message sent that they have "informed" are the "ANC Youth League will deal with you..."
3. Re-allocation of funds meant for industry development - to "legal" line item
4. Council members paid professional fees - to which they are NOT entitled (whilst also working for other state agencies)
5. Chairperson conflict of interest, deceit and misleading of Council - Council resignations
6. Council members applying for CEO post, resigning from Council and being re-appointed on not being successful - to be tested against the act - but highly improper
7. Suspected financial wrongdoing in relation to the SAFTA's

These are but only some of the problems besetting the NFVF. There is a strong male grouping that seems to be in tight "control" of the NFVF (allegedly with the support of the Minister - which would explain how the possible misdeeds seem to continue un-abeited).

The portfolio committee should look into these (and many other governance issues) as a matter of urgency.
