Dear Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries,

I would like to know how much of the degraded land is in the control of the government and how much is in the control of the communities as a total of all degraded land in south Africa. Is there a breakdown available somewhere by province and by districts and municipalities?

The reason for these questions is to provide answers to Foreign Investors that have shown interest at investing in the rehabilitation working along with communities. I am struggling to get this information and request your humble assistance for this information. The foreign investors are Ready, Willing, And Able to travel to South Africa, to meet with the LANDOWNERS of the DEGRADED LAND, for the purpose of confirming the investment and negotiate long term lease agreements.

South Africa's communities will be the primary beneficiaries as this will create a massive economic and social development impact.

I look forward to hearing from yourselves when it is convenient, so that I may get back to the foreign investors with a firm response.

Regards,
