Dear Portfolio Committee on Police,I'm a 38 year old Medical Doctor working for the Department of Health, Woodbrook State Mortuary (East London)On the 30th of July my car was smashed by a reckless police officer driving a police van Registration number 073 B in broad daylight. The damage cost me R290.000 and other financial implications including suffering from psychological complications, The behavior of our police is totally unacceptable, unprofessional to say the least.They behave like illiterate fools ,people are dying as a result of negligence driving, I see it on daily basis in our mortuaries and to be treated by the police in that manner shows that there is no law in South Africa, it's a Banana Republic
