Dear Portfolio Committee On Trade and Industry,

I have writing numorous emails to the committee trying to keep the committee members informed of the challenges we experiencing localising the manufacturing of strategic engineered components for Prasa and Transnet

I have been at this fir the past 5 years even though the committee seems to having caught on the story of Neladi and the lies perpetuated by Transnet no commitee member have bothered to speak to me even though i have information to clear up a lot of what the committee know is a deceitful stance by Prasa and Transnet Executives

Todate Gibela and Transnet refuse to engage refuse to acknowledge we have capacity and skillsbase to manufacture forged train wheels locally including the manufacturing of coaches

Nothing being done to confront these entities if the committee dont do a background check and i invite the committee to visit us like they done with Naledi

Let me say this Transnet new full well Naledi could never manufacture forge train wheels locally it didnt have caoacity neither the technology or the know how lets confirm that

Mr Ali Shabalala visited us he knows we can manufacture he knows we have 4IR technology he knows very well Transnet Engineers requested this technology be implimented in 2016 him and Mr Edward Thomas personally stopped the implimentation today they plead ignorance its not true

I suggest the committee make an effort to get to the bottom of the problem as Transnet continue to protect the importation at Transnet expence including preventing the Global Rail Industry from benefiting from this 4IR Technology

We have a factory standing idle that can employ 400 staff Mr Shtabalala himself visited in June this year and Mr Shabalala continue with this ; as and when required ; that he knows is a bone of contention and literally stops us from localising

I hope the Committee will seriously look into this matter as the Committee it self shoukd take some responsiblelity for Black Industrialist not coming through to little to late and not being informed will negatively affect our Country manufacturing sector as these entities are getting away with importing instead of developing industry with us Black Industrialist

Regards
