Dear Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development,

We would like to address our issue of being taken from pillar to post in as far as getting support from our Khayelitsha offices of Agriculture. For instance just today Ms Mboya the Chairperson of the organisation by the name of Woman For Action Community Empowerment was in Khayelitsha office having to submit a form which was suppose to have been dealt with a long time ago. Once again sarcastic comments of, "you are dreaming if you think Agriculture would find you on this and this". Worst remark of all was, "here is your form I'll put a remark underneath, go write something, to whoever even the minister if you want, as you people are full of yourselves, and have a fine cheek of writing and complaining"... This is a type of attitude that is portrayey by the staff in Khayelitsha. I've put this to the Manager of the Cape Metropole, Phumlani Mentani at some stage. A situation where another would have an oddity to discourage other women from being farmers is really a shame and a mockery to the success of our Thuma mina programme of the President. Vukuzenzele concept means what to people of this kind.
Can the Portfolio Committee get to the bottom of this. Hence projects of the people are in danger of being sidelined by people of this kind who doesn't care whether the image of Government and Department is tarnished. Especially when this project has to do with Women and the Disabled members of our community. Who took upon themselves to be not just sitting down and wait for government to do something for them. Hence they think of themselves as being the untouchables.
Hope to hear from you soon.
