Dear Portfolio Committee on Police, i am a 37 year old male worked at both station and VIP level, i applied with many members to the re -enlistment recruitment but few were taken,many of us reached the stage of doing medicals since then no respond only to be told the programme was discontinued without reasons. i do have names from different provinces with same complains about the process, we wrote assessment and passed followed by interviews, and medicals. some were taken but many were left out, i mean those who were vetted and with no criminal record and issues of discipline. i have experience on both station level and VIP static guarding. i resign due to pursuing green pastures but now we are available to carry on but the process is being done some how. we tried to phone head office and provincial recruitment but no one will to tell us want went wrong with the process since we have meet all requirements and done the last stage which is medicals. Please you intervene on our behalf to the minister and the general commissioner. ask the how many they need when they advertise for re-enlistment since they do not specify the number of members they need back. i can be contact at the email i will be sending this message with.
