Dear Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises,

I have noted with growing alarm the increase in the number of incidents of theft and vandalism along the Transnet pipeline, and in other places. I would like to ask if there are any records of the number of incidents reported along the pipeline for 2020 so far, as well as the recent years of 2018 and 2019, and where along the pipeline these incidents have occurred. In addition, I would like to ask what is being done about these incidents and whether the authorities concerned have any publicly available data on number of arrests made, the nature of syndicates involved, and where stolen fuel ends up.
