Dear Portfolio Committee on Communications,

Even allowing for the effects of COVID-19, the delivery of postal items is, in my experience, so slow as to be useless.

For example, in the week just ending, I collected from my post box at Benmore a letter from a UK based company, Quilter, inviting me to vote on resolutions to be considered at its AGM on 14 May 2020.

In the previous week I collected a letter from Sanral E-toll, enclosing a statement for the period ending 17 March 2020, advising me that a discount on payment was available until 25 June 2020.

Surely more priority should given to improving delivery of postal items, before it becomes completely redundant due to its unreliability.

Regards,
Charles Akeroyd
