Dear Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA),

Please assist the community of Mtubatuba the situation is really bad.

1. The Municipal Manager provided the Municipal Council with a wrong information when he came here for the second time.

2. Referral letter that he produced it was signed by then Mayor of ENdumeni Local Municipality where was previously employed.

3. They reported more than R41million who was missing during the council meeting somewhere last year (2020/21 FY).

4. The Municipal Manager have dismissed more than 15 employees because he is trying to clean his name and Community is not happy about that.

5. As we speak he just employ whenever he wants without following the recruitment process.

6. All Municipal tenders belongs to this Manager.

7. The situation is very bad because all General Workers does not have PPE.

8. He resigned here in 2013 because of corruption but we are satisfied with him coming back.

9. He ensure that all Municipal Staff employed prior to his appointment suffered, so create whatever wrong cases to dismissed them and not appear in the Bargaining Council so that all cases will be delayed (Call Bargaining Council and Confirm).

10. He is not following SCM processes in all Municipal Tenders.

11. He firstly went to make media statements with wrong information about allegations to the staff but now he is not appearing to the Bargaining Council.

12. Please check everything about dismissed staff or call them if it possible to do so.

13. The Municipal Manager creates more job opportunities whilst this Municipality is too small and depends on government Grant due to lack of revenue.

I humble request a thoroughly investigation to this Municipal Manager, Senior Manager Corporate Services, CFO, Labour Relations Specialist (Mr Ngcobo) & the Administrator (Mr Madondo).

I personally reported this matter to the kzn cogta MEC office but nothing has changed instead the Municipality is going down in front of the Administrator.

Ward Cllrs has also reported so many corrupt items to kzn cogta but they never said anything.
