Dear Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development,

The DG of the NC DALRRD is hell bent on ousting us out of power even though our term of office is ending. For our constitutional term of two years, he has neglected to empower, guide or forward us any handover documents and bank account from the previous CPA. He acknowledges the past CPA in spite of the National Registrar having signed us into being in October 2019.

We have a final AGM scheduled for 24 April 2021 and he has dealt us a final blow in referring the matter to the Land Rights Management Facility without any charge sheet been labelled against us, the current CPA. Unilaterally and without any cause or engagement, he has suspended all our activities open endedly.

Our notion is that he has overstepped the mark and would like for this action to be fully and finally resolved. We humbly implore you to act with haste as we are constitutionally bound to honor our term of office but not to be bullied and bundled out of term without proper cause or nefarious charges.

Due process for the AGM has been met and the community at large is expected. Surely they too have a say in their resettlement request after the seventies forced removals.
