Dear Portfolio Committee on Employment and Labour,

I would like to bring to your attention, corruption, nepotism and discrimination that is being practiced at the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa (MIOSA).

NEPOTISM

The ombudsman, Mr Van Vreden has employed most of his family members at the company, the company is being managed like a family business. The COO, Miss Leane Lubbe is Mr Van Vreden's daughter, who does not have any qualifications and prior experience before occupying the position. Leane's brother, Mr Darren Smith is the senior case manager who also does not have qualifications and experience. Darren's wife Jenny Smith is occupying the position of Administration manager. The Ombudsman's sister Annelie Mienie, is a case manager assistant. The Ombudsman's ex-wife, Beverly Schwabe is the Procurement manager. Lizette Kruger, the wife of Kobie Krause, is his personal assistant, Kobie Krause and Johan Van Vreden are executive directors.Mercia Van Niekerk is the Inspectorate manager and her daughter Sonja Reed is the inspector.

DISCRIMINATION
The white employees are earning more than the African employees even if they are working the same positions.
The Ombudsman is paying salaries to his family members who are not working for the company. The finance manager, Ellen Engelbreght is holding two positions as finance manager and HR manager without relevant qualifications, and according to our knowledge there is no HR department. The rest of the positions are absorbed by the COO and finance manager. Employees are always threatened with disciplinary hearing if they think you are a threat to them.

Lately there has been emails coming in form African people complaining about not being able to apply for SASSA because their names are listed as employees for MIOSA, even though they have never worked for the company. Some of them SARS says they owe money for income TAX as employees for Miosa.

Kindly look into this as these people are getting more corrupt and are enriching themselves with the company monies.

They even boast that they are well connected because every time they are exposed they bribe people, even some of the media people known to us are colluding with them.

I believe these people should be investigated and be held accountable for their corruption. If it was African people doing this they would have long been exposed and fired. I am willing to testify against them.
There are more people who are related and not memtioned.
