Dear Small Business Development

I have read through the summary of the minutes in regards with the plans to assist informal Traders. All plans mentioned brings hope however my concern is that will this reach SME's and Informal Traders in need who has been affected. Is there a profiling or survey which has been done mostly in rural areas and Townships which will assist to speed up the process? I would like to thank you for giving an opportunity to unemployment graduate this will help but the question again what criteria will be used in selecting these people? The interim relief for informal traders on permits and licence is acknowledged and appreciated. Mr Devilliers mentioned that the committee must create a climate for job creation and sale of products, in this regard I would like to second this request as this is the stumbling block to most SME's you find that they have products but they lack the market I'm also an SME I intervened in assisting to get access to markets on their behalf its not easy but there is light and hope as they are not rejected as long they have HACCP, those who are in crop farming(vegetables) must have good grade's must meet the demand. I would like to challenge this committee to take Mr Devilliers request as the highest priority. Inkosi B Luthuli's concern is understandable and covered with the unemployed graduate who will assist. I would be happy if the committee could make a call to SME's in furniture manufacturing to showcase their furniture you'll be amazed that in the small garages in disadvantaged areas with no proper tools SME's are producing competitive products. There is a lack of information in rural and township areas in regards with programmes please help so that everyone is well informed.
