Dear Select Committee on Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Water and Sanitation and Human Settlements,

Our school tried several occasions to drill water but we failed to find the live stream. We engaged with Collins Chabane Municipality unfortunately they do not have capacity to supply water to school, they then referred us to Vhembe District Municipality. Vembe supply 10 000 litres once after six months. We have 415 learners, 11 educators and 12 support staff. We asked them to bring permanent solution but nothing done so far. We ask for stable supply but they are not committing.

Around 1.5 kilometers from school we have an abondoned borehole with lot of water. Our budget cannot cater of such a huge task to bring water supply to school.

Our recommendations:

1. You direct Vhembe to give us 10 000 litres week and/or,
2. You assist us to get water.
3. You resource us to ensure connection of water from abondoned borehole.

Department of Presidency, monitoring and evaluation have been informed of case.

Should you wish to test the evidence with above_mentioned directorate you may do so.

Please assist.
