Dear Portfolio Committee on Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs,

Hi Leaders. We have been in a long battle with the OR Tambo District Municipality in the Eastern Cape. We did every thing in our power to get the ANC to help us as this is a ANC lead institution. We tryed to get intervention even from the top six. This after we could not get any help from the ANC in spite of our may efforts indirectly thought PAs as we do not have direct contects. After two years it became clear that that we have to take the legal route as well. We are now at the end of the sixth year and we have not yet been payed. NB : This is after all the statments and comitmants made by the ANC that are pro poor. 01 * Our future has been stolen. 02 * Our presence morgaged of +_ 500 bread winers and their extended familys. Even in the 2021 manifesto for Local Government and in statements the ANC still makes commitments that it will create work. One does wonder if it mees paying the poeple after they have worked. It has not been the case for the poor EPWP in spite of even the courts compeling them to do so amangs others. Kind regards.
