Dear Portfolio Committee on Employment and Labour,

I have applied for UIF benefit on 15 February 2021 after being retrenched January 2021.

To date (14 November 2021) I could not manage to get any payment from the department.

I've submitted all documentation, I went to the office and saw Simon (the supervisor) where I submitted my three months bank statements and UI2.8 form as was requested.

Since February 2021 my U-filing application was cancelled numerous times without any explanation or communication from the department.

Can you please assist as I am in dire straits after 10 months of no income.
