Dear Portfolio Committee on Higher Education, Science and Technology,

Good day

My name is Phakisho Sekhula, an advanced diploma in agriculture at the university of Mpumalanga.

I have applied for numerous bursaries to fund my studies but there are no positive responses, the DHET doesn’t care about us at all.
Now my landlord at an off-campus accommodation wants his money which i do not have, the DHET has decided to increase fees without thinking about us.

Diploma students are endangered, NSFAS funds us for only 3 years whereas some courses like BSC in Agriculture they are funded for 4 years and their course is an NQF level 8 course while we suffer with a level 6 course.

Something must be done!
Please help me complete my advanced diploma program by funding my academics and residence fees.
