Dear Portfolio Committee On Trade and Industry,
Recent public discussion on Twitter has forced me as a law abiding citizen that supports our Judiciary and the Government's stated policy of eradicating corruption to write to you as the custodians of law and order of our democracy to investigate and to act on the following:
1. The recent Judgement of the Constitutional Court in the matter of Jacob Zuma:
The Judge presenting the finding of the court was scathing in its remarks pertaining
to the conduct of Jacob Zuma regarding to his public utterances about the
impartiality of the Judiciary.
I believe that the utterances in a very public social media forum such as Twitter
@aparteidmuseum (Mike Steinbank) are equally disparaging of the judiciary and the
holder of the twitter account responsible for the vile and utter unacceptable foul
language used to describe the judiciary must be investigated and the full force of the
law be used to curtail such blatant attacks on our democratically elected judiciary
that has on numerous instances enforced the law to protect the rights of the
common citizens of our liberated country.
2. There has been discussion about the same twitter handle @aparteidmuseum being
responsible for fraud to the tune of R9.4 million rand allocated by the Lotteries
Commission (project no: 35454).
Respected custodians of our democracy and the committee directly investigating the
National lotteries Commission, I believe it is incumbent upon you to add this case to
your investigation of the failure of the Lotteries Commission to lay charges of fraud
and to seek criminal charges against the perpetuator of the fraud.
