Dear Portfolio Committee on Small Business Development,

My name is Mr Vusimusi Nqadini from south of Johannesburg in the Vaal triangle.

In 2001 after completing matric .i started selling FRUITS AND VEGETABLES to closed the gap because people in my area they had travel distance before they can get fruits and vegetables stall.

In 2015 I decided to move from fresh produce to grocery because i did not have the correct equipment to store fruits and vegetables.

I then registered my company with CIPC VUSUMUZI S TRADING PTY LTD.

In the year 2020 I applied for SEFA SPAZA SHOP SUPPORT PROGRAM AT NEDBANK R3500 was loaded into the purchase card which I used to purchase stock.

In 2022 the purchase card was again loaded with R7000.
I appreciated what SEFA has done but more support is needed to fast track the success of spaza shop business.

Supermarket model is the same model that must be used for THE SPAZA SHOP BUSINESS.

I REGUEST SEFA to take spaza shop business serious.its very difficult to run a SPAZA SHOP with insufficient capital.

SEFA has supported my business with R10 500 OF STOCK.ACCORDING to my researcher a minimum of R200 000 is required for a SPAZA SHOP stock.

If SEFA wants to fast track the success of spaza shop business so that this business can create more jobs for unemployed people. I request the following.

1-SEFA HELP SPAZA SHOPS WITH PROPER SYSTEMS (POS SYSTEMS FOR ACCURATE ACCOUNTING.

2-SEFA MADE CONTRACTS WITH BIG WHOLESALER WHERE WE CAN PURCHASE STOCK FOR CREDIT OR SEFA MADE FUNDING FOR BULK BUYING OF STOCK Available.
