Dear Portfolio Committee on Defence and Military Veterans,

1. Kindly pay attention on the entire administration of the DMV in particular its Head Office. Scrutinize all appointments.

2. The call center is a joke and waste of money. Whenever we call you can hear that the person on the other hand doesn't care, has less regards about Veterans' plight.

3. We are traumatized by late payments of school fees for our children, sometimes less amounts paid. Some of us are faced with legal claims and DMV shows no sympathy.

4. If one doesn't know anybody closer to that office to physically visit and present your case, you are a victim of heartache.

5. Housing assistance must be based on affordability. Some of us accumulated debt due to age where we were denied Special Pensions, salary threshold where one earned above R 3, 500.00 but could not enter property market based on financial profile. We started life later that our age counterparts and had to race against time starting families. Politicians must avoid passing laws they know disadvantage the majority of the citizens.
