Hon Speaker, I believe that the policies that we have pursued in the last 25 years have brought about transformative change in South Africa, in a monumental way. [Applause.]
The South Africa we live in today is very different from the South Africa we inherited in 1994. We have doubled the number of people who are employed in our economy. When the ANC government got into office, there were some eight million people working in our country, today there are 16,5 million people who are employed in our economy.
