It is a pity that this correspondence was not responded to despite numerous attempts to try and get the Public Protector to attend to this issue. The bottom line is, you have allegations that certain political parties have actually misappropriated or rather diverted funds from the PIC into a political party and you ask that a member of the executive or Cabinet of that very same organisation chairs the PIC. It is unheard of it and illogical. We need to find a different system and for this reason we have been saying, as the UDM that the chairperson of the PIC should not be a member of the Cabinet.
