Mr Farrow was born in Umthatha and completed his schooling in the Cape. He completed numerous qualifications in civil engineering, agriculture, leadership management and planning. Mr Farrow has been involved in politics since his student days and since then held various positions in a number of South African political parties. He was first elected to Parliament in 1999 and re-elected in 2004. He performed duties on a number of Parliamentary Portfolio Committees including Agriculture and Land Affairs, Health, and Public Enterprises amongst others, and is currently serving as the Shadow Minister of Tourism.
