a) Yes, on the 6th November 2023, the department still had COVID-19 Vaccine-Janssen in storage at the national level, at Biovac. A total of 192 000 doses are available for distribution.

The Department has introduced the Human Resources Training Grant (HRTG) to amongst other required speciality areas create a pool of trained specialists to enhance capacity in essential services that includes radiation oncology. (a) According to the Gauteng Department of Health, bodies were taken to both Hillbrow (Johannesburg) and Diepkloof Forensic mortuaries for the following reasons.
