(1 )(a) There are 23 cameras installed at the Primrose Police Station.

(1)(b) The cameras are installed in the corridors, the holding cells, the outside of the Police Station, the perimeters and the parking areas.

(2)(a) The last inspection was done, in August 2019.

(2)(b) A total of 21 cameras are in working condition and two cameras are out of order.

SAPS does not allocate specific counsellors to police stations, a pool of Counsellors that consists of Psychologists, Social Workers and Chaplains get allocated to Provincial or Cluster Office with the intention of offering services to the different stations under that Cluster. The allocation to Clusters or Provincial offices is guided by the following:

The Division: Detective Service, Anti-Corruption Investigation Unit, was established, in 2014/2015. Prior to 2015, cases relating to the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act, 2004 (Act No. 12 of 2004), were investigated by the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI).

(1) The South African Police Service (SAPS) has entered into an agreement with Tracker Connect (Pty) Ltd. A Memorandum of Understanding was concluded between the two entities, as per reference 19/1/9/1/114 TR (13). The above agreement was compiled in accordance with the required prescripts.
