During the Adjustment Estimates of National Expenditure, a virement of R200 000.00 was requested with an intention to provide funding towards projects for youth economic empowerment. (a) Participation and consultation took place in the form of meetings with affected stakeholders.

The Liquor Amendment Bill will be submitted to Cabinet in the first quarter of 2017. In terms of the cabinet process, the Socio Economic Impact Assessment System (SEIAS) report must accompany all legislation. Once approved by Cabinet, the SEIAS report will be made available.
