Dear Portfolio Committee on Employment and Labour, hope you are well and keeping safe, Im a daughter and a concern community member reason why at umhlathuzane its in the kzn side their are women who are working on the road and they get paid every month and this was supposed to help single mothers who's husband has passed away. Reason why im writing to you its because i have tried reaching out to the department because they are some women who started last year which is 2021 and till today have never gotten a penny from working. What i want to know is this work or are they slaves,Or is it because they are black and also uneducated that they must suffer like this is it fair to their kids who see their mothers waking every morning going to work but at the end of the month they get nothing. This break my heart because they are mothers who were given hope but also taken away from them. No one is giving me a positive response i spoke to GUGU MTHEMBU she did ask me about their names i told her but now she went awol on me. I will appreciate if you can please help these women.
