Chairperson, I'm rising in respect of the matter which was raised by the hon Delport about the problems in Port Elizabeth. I want to thank him very much for bringing this particular problem to my attention and for again drawing to my attention the fact that he has raised this matter with local government and the province.
I am perplexed by the allegation that the Department of Provincial and Local Government is playing deaf, suggesting that there has been no responsiveness, presumably to an approach that was made. I'm not aware of such an approach having been made. However ...
