Hon Speaker, in a democratic republic equality before the law is a must. However, in a raw banana republic, like South Africa, some people are above the law. These rascals murder and maim with impunity. One of their victims is Sinethemba Majwapula. He was gunned down in broad daylight at Walter Sisulu University's, Mthatha Campus.
The murder took place on 23 October 2008. Scores of students witnessed a security guard shooting Sinethemba in the head.
The firearm allegedly belonged to a university staff member. Interestingly, the case was dismissed by the Mthatha court because of a lack of evidence. Viva banana republic! [Laughter.]
Sinethemba was a staunch PAC member and student activist. He was murdered for his political outlook by members of a party that daydreams of misruling this country until the Second Coming. The PAC will never rest until the killers of Sinethemba are apprehended and justice is done. Thank you.
