Chairperson, I move without notice:
That the Council -
1) notes that Cosatu and its alliance partners had their priorities wrong when they decided to go on strike because of labour brokers and e-toll roads;
2) wonders whether it is feasible to let the economy suffer due to this strike or whether it is more feasible to take a stand on the constant increase of the petrol and diesel price, which has more of a negative influence on the people of South Africa; and
3) debates the influence of strike action and fuel price increases on the economy and the people.
That sounded like a notice of motion and I would like the staff to look into that and we will see how to correct it on the Paper. If it is a motion without notice you would not be asking for a debate on it.
