Mr Speaker, in response to the ANC member Ngubeni-Maluleka's statement about the successful state visit by President Zuma to Senegal, I would like to state that the visit not only strengthened the relations and economic development between our two nations but went beyond promoting peace and stability on our continent. It went into matters of the economic development and integration of Africa.

I think that is a most important historical event. Some people over there do not like to know that most people, particularly of African origin, suffered at the historical sites of Robben Island and Gore Island. I thank you. [Applause.]
