Speaker, the reason I stood up is because I was given a paper saying that I'm number two. I apologise for the disorder.
No, I determine who number two is.
Having said that, I hereby move on behalf of the ANC that we commend the University of the North West for conferring an honorary Doctor of Laws degree on Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng on 18 October 2013. It is a move in recognition of the tremendous work that he voluntarily did at the university while he was Judge President of that division - the western division of the High Court - and his achievements since becoming the leader of the Constitutional Court which is now called the Apex Court. Dr Mogoeng Mogoeng is further commended for his achievements, especially by overcoming his grilling interview that lasted for two days since the advent of the Judicial Service Commission, JSC.
The ANC wishes Dr Mogoeng Mogoeng success in championing the judiciary enabling legislation, particularly the Superior Courts Act. He withstood the long interview and we can give him, as in martial arts, the honour of having done very well in kumite and give him a maiden ippon. Thank you. [Applause.]
