the Commission made an initial proposal that National Treasury found unaffordable and unsustainable. Hence, the Commission base on its final recommendations for the full-time chairperson, the part-time deputy chairperson and other members of the FFC on the salary scales determined by the Department of Service and Administration for senior managers in the public service. The determination applies retrospectively from 01 April 2018.
Therefore, the Standing Committee on Finance, having considered the notice, reports that it supports the Determination of Remuneration of Members of the Financial and Fiscal Commission.
