QUESTION 141 FOR WRITTEN REPLY, MR O DE BEER (COPE-WC) TO ASK THE MINISTER
OF AGRICULTURE, FORESTRY AND FISHERIES:
Whether her department has a detailed plan on how it intends utilising the
proposed R19 billion that is set aside for agriculture, forestry, fishing
and hunting as outlined in the Consolidated Government Budget for 2011; if
not, why not; if so, (a) how will this money be allocated, (b) to which
specific areas and (c) what are the further relevant details? CW179E
REPLY:
A breakdown of the current budget of the Department is the only information
that we have.
The Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries budget as contained in Vote 26 of
the 2011 Estimates of National Expenditure is as follows per programme:
