(1) Whether her department has audited high and medium-value agricultural land that has been lost to (a) mining, (b) mining explorations and (c) urban developments; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details in respect of (i) the arable land that is left for farming in South Africa and (ii) how many of these developments constitute a threat to food security in the country; (2) whether any of this lost land can be re-claimed to provide for food, fodder, feed and fibre that is necessary for the continued welfare of the people of South Africa; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details?
