(INTERNAL QUESTION PAPER 25-2009)
Mr DA Worth (DA-FS) to ask the Minister of Basic Education:
Whether additional land has been urgently allocated to Llingiliethu
Primary School in Malmesbury in order to accommodate secondary phase
education; if not, why not; if so CW51E
REPLY:
Information received from the province is that there is no school by the
name of Llingelethu in Malmesbury. There is a primary school called
Naphakadi and secondary school called Naphakadi situated in Llingilethu in
Malmesbury. The two schools are situated in one erf, operating separately,
each school with a principal and staff. The issue of land is that the site
that was identified for a secondary school to move to was found to be too
small to accommodate a secondary school. The province is awaiting feedback
from the provincial department of Public Works on progress made to find an
alternative site
