NW365E
REPLY:
I have been advised by the SABC and SAPO as follows:-
(1)(a) No tender has been awarded to the company referred to. However,
a letter of intent unsigned by the SABC was found on record. The terms
and conditions of the letter of intent had not been met (including
BBBEE requirements) therefore a contract was not concluded.
(1)(b) No
2) The SABC has been using a company called VATit for some years to carry
out VAT recoveries on foreign payments.
SAPO has not awarded any tender for the purposes of reclaiming VAT on
its behalf.
