REPLY:
1. The IMCâs domestic and international positioning and marketing
campaigns were never put on hold. What was put on hold was the use of
the slogan in any of the brand marketing communications.
2. There were no intellectual property claims by any parties regarding
the slogan.
a) No advertising or any other marketing campaign was deployed with the
aborted slogan.
b) No amount will have to be written off as the new slogan was never used
on any campaign; print, electronic or online.
c) There was no appointed contractor as there was no campaign
d) The marketing campaigns are running without a slogan; as it has been
the case since the previous logo was dropped in 2009.
e) A new process to develop the country slogan; which involves
stakeholder and public participation, has been initiated. A submission
will be made to the Executive Authority for withdrawal of the aborted
slogan and approval of the still to be determined slogan. It is
expected that this process will be completed before the end of the
year.
