Summary of only key categories is provided since there are more
than 140 different registration categories with the HPCSA, SAPC
and SANC. An estimation of Professionals in the private Sector
was determined by subtracting the number of the said
professional category in the Public Service ( as per Vulindlela
data) from the total number in the HPCSA register. Hence it
is acknowledge that this may not give an accurate picture of the
number of professionals in Private practice as the register may
also have Professionals that are not practicing or working
outside the Country.
END.
